The Clinton girls JV volleyball team participated in a 16 team tournament on Saturday in Dansville Michigan. During Pool Play Clinton dominated their opponents, defeating Grand Rapids Sacred Heart, 25-4 and  25-12, Owosso 25-7 and 25-10 then Dansville 25-8 and 25-17. With a perfect 6-0 record,  the Redwolves secured  the number one seed for Pool A and advanced to the Gold Bracket. 

In  the quarterfinal round, Clinton  faced Stockbridge and  continued their strong serving and solid defense. They captured the win and moved to the Semi- final round to face another 6-0 winner, the Fowler Eagles.

Coach Cornish was impressed with the team's  competitiveness and determination as they defeated the Eagles in the first set 25-21. However, Fowler rallied during the second set and beat the Redwolves 25-21 to force the tiebreaker set. The third set was a  back-and-forth battle between the two teams. In the end, Fowler beat the Redwolves 15-12, securing a third place finish for Clinton in the tournament.

Avery Loftis led the team 45 serving points 10 aces, 97% serving accuracy, 37 assists, 7 kills and 17 digs.

Ashlynn Benschoter had 38 serving points, 9 aces, 90% serving accuracy, and 21 digs.

Jackie Whiting had 30 serving points, 7 aces, led the team with 26 kills, and  27 digs.

Megan Hammarberg had 30 serving points with team high 100% serving accuracy, 5 aces, 24 assists and 3 kills.

Brailey Gibson had 18 points with 94% serving accuracy, 10 kills, and 26 digs and led the team with 26 serve receive passes.

Calli Kruger had 10 points, 5 aces, 3 kills, led the team with 42 digs, 25 serve receive passes.

Finnley Faulkner led the team with 6 blocks and had 13 kills.

Kylinn Long had 12 kills, 2 blocks, and 3 assists. 

Kaylin Sposite had 8 kills, 4 digs and 5 blocks.

Zoey Utz had 3 kills.

Cora Harsh had 2 kills and 3 assists.

Bella Bannon had 2 kills and 3 digs.
