Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball vs. Multiple Opponents

The Clinton JV Volleyball team had an impressive performance in a 12 team tournament at Tecumseh High School. During Pool play, they faced Milan and won both sets 25-9 and 25-23. They then split sets with Ida 25-23, 20-25 and with Whiteford 25-14, 21-25. With a record of 4-2 Clinton secured the 3rd place seed in the Gold Bracket for the single elimination bracket play.
In bracket play, Clinton faced #6 seeded team, the Onsted Wildcats. The Redwolves dominated the Wildcats, winning both sets 25-11 and 25-9. With the victory Clinton advanced to the Semi-finals, where they once again faced Milan. This time the match went to 3 sets but Clinton remained focused and won the third set 15-9.
On the other side of the bracket, the #1 ranked team the Tecumseh Indians made it to the finals by defeating Ida and Monroe high schools. The final match between Clinton and Tecumseh was intense with the first set going into extra points. However, Clinton’s solid net play and serving helped them secure a tight victory with the score of 30 to 28. In the final set of the evening Clinton’s determination shone through, and they defeated Tecumseh 25-18 to capture the championship trophy.

Avery Loftis led the team with 39 service points, 16 aces, 90% serving accuracy, 35 assists, 28 digs 2 kills and 1 block.
Calli Krueger followed with 37 service points, 6 aces, 91% serving accuracy, 5 kills, 32 digs, 23 serve receive passes, and 4 assists.
Brailey Gibson had 36 service points 10 aces, 19 kills, 23 digs.
Jackie Whiting had 27 service points 11 aces, 33 kills, 29 digs, 34 serve receive passes, and 1 block
Ashlynn Benschoter had 23 service points, 10 aces, 90% serving accuracy, 25 digs, 23 serve receive passes and 1 kill.
Megan Hammarberg had 22 points 8 aces, 36 assists 15 digs, and 1 kill.
Finnley Faulkner had 20 kills and led the team with 5 blocks
Kylinn had 7 kills, 2 blocks and 6 digs.
