The Clinton JV volleyball team ended their season this past Saturday competing in the LCAA league tournament held  at Onsted High school. During Pool Play the Redwolves lost to Blissfield, split with Columbia Central, then beat Hudson. With a 3-3 record Clinton was seeded 5th and was matched up with Columbia Central in the Quarter final round. The Redwolves pulled out the victory in the 3rd set by defeating the 4th seeded team 15-6. With the win Clinton advanced to the Semi-finals but had to face the Blissfield Royals again. Clinton played aggressively with accurate serving to win the first set by 5 points. Blissfield narrowly won the second set by 2 points, to force the third and final set. The Redwolves jumped out to an early lead but the Royals came back and took the set 15-10. 
 

Tournament Highlights

Megan Hammarberg led the team with 51 service points with 17 aces 30 digs 26 assists and 12 kills.

Jackie Whiting had 23 service points with 4 aces 25 assists 15 digs 14 kills.

Eden Frederick had 16 service points with 6 aces, led the team with 28 kills, and 2 blocks.

Aubrey Lauer had 14 points 1 ace 6 kills, led the team with 60 digs and 70 serve receive passes.

Ruby Faulkner had 14 points, 12 kills and 7 digs

Annabell Preston had 11 points 19 digs 13 serve receive passes

Brailey Gibson had 7 points 11 kills, 13 digs 

Korynn Allen had 7 points 11 digs, 3 assists 

Finnley Faulkner had 7 kills led the team with 8 blocks.

Genevieve Urban had 3 kills

Annabelle Kerr had 6 digs

Clinton finished their season with a 25-12-4 overall record and 8-3-1 record in the LCAA
