Yesterday the Clinton JV volleyball team traveled to Vandercook Lake for a tri-math competition against host Vandercook Lake and Northwest.  In match one the girls would have a tough battle in set 1 losing 27-26 to Northwest.  In set 2 they would battle back and win 25-15 taking Northwest to a 3^rd set and winning it 15-5, winning 2-1 against Northwest in match 1.  In the second match of the night, the lady redskins would face host Vandercook Lake.  In set 1 the girls would come out with some strong serving and great plays by the defense to win 25-10.  In set 2 we had some long serving rallies by Lena Korte to take set 2 25-10 as well.  The girls all played well and would have some great plays to take the two wins on the night.

            Overall the lady Redskins were led by Lily Thompson with 14 kills, 17 digs, 3 points and 1 ace.  Lena Korte had 11 kills, 2 blocks, 5 digs, 19 points and 5 aces.  Libbi Fair had 4 kills, 20 digs, 20 points and 4 aces.  Jaecy Jones led with 30 digs on the night and had 10 points and 1 ace.  Ashlyn Schmidt had 17 digs, 5 points and 2 aces.  Rounding out the night was Hallie Kittle with 22 assists 17 points and 5 aces.

            Next the girls will play Tuesday September 4th, when they travel to Concord in another tri-match starting at 5pm.
