The Redskins JV squad opened their season at home on Monday night, hosting the Manchester Lady Dutch. The visiting team left with the victory by a score 24-58. With only two sophomores on the team, the young squad gained valuable high school experience. It was a tale of two halfs. After losing the first half by a 32 point margin, they bounced back with tremendous effort to lose the second half by only 2 points. Scoring was led by Freshman Cassie McNatt with 9, classmates Emma Fair (7), Griffin Faulkner (4), Sophia Sheneman (1). Sophomore MacKenzie Brandvold rounded out the scoring by dropping one from behind the arc for 3 points. They will host two more teams this week starting with Quincy on Friday at 5:30 and Saturday vs. Ovid Elsie at 12:00.
