MORENCI AREA HIGH SCHOOL: 34
Traveling to Morenci on Monday night for a make up game due to weather, the JV squad left with a close loss by a score of 34-28. They made huge improvements when compared to the first time the two teams met this season, resulting in a loss 45-16. Even though you don’t necessarily see the improvements in the win loss columns, these young ladies are making strides this season. Building on the basic fundamentals and making some changes during games is great to see for this group. Leading the team was sophomore Eliana Dotson with 12 points. Kaylin Brown had 5 points, including a 3 pointer. MacKenzie Brandvold also had 5 points. Chloe Houghton had 4 points, while Emily Gilroy added 2 points. Their final TCC league contest is this Friday, as they travel to Summerfield for the tip at 5:30.
