Clinton’s Competitive cheer team just missed the 4th place cut off to move on to regionals by 10.84 points. Their 5th place finish out of 11 teams at Districts in Whitmore Lake on Friday, February 21st, brings a close to their season, but still with some new season bests. They received season highs for both vocal and floor mobility scores in round one, and round two precision drill score. This after adjustments and substitutions one hour before the start of the meet! They also had a season high round one score of 199.0. They finished round two with a 173.76 and round 3 with 241.8 after having to remove some major point opportunities due to an injury. Their overall score was 614.56. After a 10th place finish at the 2019 Districts, this team stepped up this season and proved that the “C” on their chest not only stands for Clinton, but also for Competitors. This season might be over, but the standards this team has set will live on for years to come!
