Clinton dominated the double header tonight, beating Onsted 17-0 and 12-1 in both mercy shortened games. Game 1- Kendall Phillip threw her first PERFECT game of the season, with 8 strikeouts, recording all 9 put outs. The only ball in play was a grounder in the circle. The bats did what they needed to do, as Clinton collected 12 hits. Annabell Preston was 3-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Raven Aldridge was a perfect 2-2 with a double. Phillip added 2 singles and 2 RBI. Kylinn along, Lydia Or Any, and Kaylin Sposite each added a hit and recorded 2 RBI. Game 2- Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher, allowing just 4 hits with 9 strikeouts in 6 innings of play. Clinton only mustered 6 hits, but collected 11 walks giving them many opportunities to score runs. Phillip hit the walk off 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 6th to get the mercy. She finished 2-2 with 3 RBI. Taryn Hernandez was also a perfect 1-1 with 2 walks. Preston was 2-4 with 3 RBI. Kaylin Sposite added a double and 2 RBI. Clinton is now 7-1 in LCAA and 15-3 overall. They travel to Jackson Northwest for a non-league double header on Thursday before taking the weekend off for prom.
