Clinton traveled to Parma Western for their Round Robin tournament, bringing home the crown. Clinton out scored their opponents 32-0 in both offense and defense. Kendall Phillip threw a no-hitter in game one against Okemos. She had 11 strikeouts with 2 walks in a 5-inning mercy rule shutout. (15-0). Taryn Hernandez and Kendall Phillip each singled while Kyleigh Ramos walked to start the first inning. Raven Aldridge stepped up and hit her first grand slam! Phillip finished 2-3 with her 4th home run (2-run) of the season. Ramos finished 2-3 with an RBI. Taryn%u2019s Hernandez finished 2-4. Kylinn Long added a 2 RBI triple to the mix as well. Game 2 was the championship game and Clinton took control in the first and never looked back as they win 17-0 in 3-inning mercy rule. Hernandez took the shutout win, allowing just 2 hits, with 2 strikeouts. Phillip was a perfect 2-2 with a double and 2 RBI. Aldridge was 1-2 with a double and 3 RBI. Ramos, Lola Szczesniak, and Ashlynn Benschoter finished with a hit a piece and 2 RBI. Kaylin Sposite hit the mercy rule walk off in the bottom of the 3rd with a 3 run homerun. Hernandez registered 1 walk and was hit by the pitch twice in her 3 at bats. Leadoff Annabell Preston was a perfect 1-1 with 2 walks, and scoring every time. Clinton will continue LCAA play at Onsted Tuesday.
