Clinton traveled to Napoleon on a Friday night for two mercy run ruled games 15-3 & 18-1. Game 1: Kendall Phillip takes the win allowing 5 hits with 8 strikeouts and 0 earned runs. Despite a slow start, Clinton had one perfect hitter in freshman Lola Szczesniak who had a night at the plate, going 4-4 with 5 RBI including a pair of doubles. Lola finished 7-9 on the evening with 8 RBI. Raven Aldridge was 2-4 with a 2-run homerun. Kylinn Long was 3-4 with an RBI. Kyleigh Ramos was 2-2 with an RBI. Clinton gathered a total of 15 hits in game 1. Game 2: Taryn Hernandez was the winning pitcher, throwing 3 hitless innings. She finished with 4 strikeouts and allowed 4 hits with 1 earned run. Once again Clinton%u2019s bats were on fire totaling 15 hits. Ashlynn Benschoter led the charge going 2-3 with a 2-run homerun, her first of the season, finishing with 3 RBI. Lola Szczesniak was 3-5 with a triple and 3 RBI. Kendall Phillip was 3-5 with 2 RBI and Annabell Preston was 3-5 with 2 RBI. Long was 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI. Hernandez added a RBI double. Cora Harsh added an RBI double as the DH. Clinton travels to Parma Western for a tournament Saturday.
