The boys JV basketball team struggled to get their rhythm going on the offensive end Friday night against the Ida Bluestreaks and ultimately dropped their home finale by a 45-38 score. The loss drops the JV boys basketball record to 14-4 overall and 10-3 in the LCAA. This was the first loss of the 2024 calendar year for the Redwolves team and ends their 9 game winning streak.

"This team has found a way to win a lot of games this season that played out just like this Ida game," Coach Dutton said. "We have had a lot of fortunate bounces this season, unfortunately, the ball didn't bounce our way tonight. That happens sometimes."

Clinton controlled much of the game early on and built a 25-19 halftime lead after a Broden Manchester triple just before the second quarter buzzer sounded. Ida's defense halted the Redwolf momentum in the second half, and were able to find just enough of their own to take a 32-30 lead heading to the fourth quarter. Ida built on that lead early in the 4th thanks to some baskets early on, while keeping Redwolves from making a field until late in the 4th quarter.

Ronan Stelzer and Cole Hillegonds led Clinton on the night with 10 points apiece. Owen Barnhart finished with 6 points, Louie Della-Badia 5 points, Dacari Garrison 4 points, and Broden Manchester 3 points.

Clinton will be on the road for their final two games of the season. First up is the LCAA finale on Tuesday night at Onsted, followed by a non-league contest Thursday night against former LCAA member Columbia Central.
