The Clinton Boys JV basketball team continued their winning ways with a hard fought road victory at Ida on Friday night. After a week off of school due to the winter weather, the team was able to focus in to earn the LCAA victory by a score of 43-35. The win improves the team to 9-3 on the season and finishes the first round of LCAA league play with a 5-2 record. 

The game was played pretty much even for the first three quarters with the Bluestreaks having slight control of the game the first half taking a 14-10 lead after the first quarter and 22-19 lead heading into halftime. The Redwolves defense put the clamps down even more so in the second half, and held Ida to just four second half field goals. Clinton was able to gain control of the game in the third quarter. With a 30-29 advantage going into the final quarter, the Redwolves outscored Ida 13-6 in the 4th quarter to walk out of Ida with the victory. 

Louie Della-Badia lead the team with 13 points. Dacari Garrison added 9 points. Cole Hillegonds and Owen Barnart each added 8 points. Ronan Stelzer finished with 3 points and Jacob Pizio score a big bucket in the 2nd quarter to stop some early momentum that Ida had gained. 

The Redwolves will be back in action next week with a home game on Tuesday against Hillsdale.
