The boys JV team headed back to Britton-Deerfield Wednesday night to compete against the host school in the Holiday Hoops Tournament Championship. The Patriots entered the game with a 7-0 record on the season, while the Redwolves entered the contest with 4-2 mark. This was the 2nd consecutive year the two schools have made it to the championship game, and the rematch of last years thrilling championship game was just as entertaining. 

If you are a fan of high scoring games, this was not the game for you, but if you are a fan of watching two teams that play hard, defend, and compete, then this one was just for you. B-D controlled most of the first half, taking a 21-15 lead into intermission. While there was a lot of action on the court, there was not a lot to show for it on the scoreboard. 

The defense kept up the second half for both teams, but especially for the Redwolves. Clinton would hold B-D to just 11 second half points to earn the hard fought victory. Owen Barnhart was able to find his groove in the middle of the B-D's 2-3 zone, and ended up with a team high 14 points on the night. While he was probably MVP of the game tonight, it was Louie Della-Badia and Dacari Garrison earning spots on the All-Tournament team. The two of them finished with double figure in each of the two tournament games. Garrison finished with 12 points on the night while Della-Badia added 10 points. Ronan Stelzer was once again the catalyst from the point guard position, orchestrating the offense. Angel Rubio provided big minutes off the bench and being a huge factor on the defensive side of the ball. 

The Redwolves will be off until next week when they will head to Lumen Christi to face the Titans on Friday, December 29th. The JV's will tip at 5:30 with Varsity set to tip at 7:00.
