The Thursday night boys JV basketball game between the Blissfield Royals and Clinton Redwolves was about as exciting as they come. The two teams played a double overtime affair with the Royals pulling away in the second overtime for the 47-42 victory at Clinton on Thursday night.

It looked like the game would be over in regulation as Blissfield sent a free throw shooter to the line with under three seconds remaining, but two missed free throws later and a half-court attempt off the mark by Ronan Stelzer sent the game to it's first overtime. 

The second overtime was a slugfest, and it looked like this one was going to end in favor of the Redwolves, but missed free throws would cost the Redwolves this one and send the game to the it's second overtime. 

In the second overtime, Blissfield took control first and would not look back this time, winning by the final score of 47-42.

The Redwolves drop to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in the LCAA and will play next week on Monday and Wednesday in the Holiday Hoops Tournament at Britton-Deerfield. Clinton will open the tournament with a first round game against Whitmore Lake on Monday at 5:30PM.
