The Clinton JV boys basketball team came out firing on all cylinders Friday night.  However, they would not be able to sustain their momentum and eventually fell to Summerfield 61-52.  The loss drops the team to 6-10 overall and 4-6 in the TCC.  

Clinton took a 16-10 lead after the first quarter thanks to inspired play on both ends of the court.  However, Summerfield made their response by outscoring the Redskins 21-9 in the second quarter to take a 31-25 halftime lead.

Summerfield would not give up their halftime lead and were able to keep Clinton at an arm's length reach for the entire second half.  

Derek Tomalak played his best game of his career in a Clinton basketball jersey, tallying 15 points.  Landon Busz also reached double figures in the scoring column to finish with 13 points.  Kyle Wenk added 9 points to go with a team high 6 rebounds.  Ethan Herington chipped in with 8 points.

The Redskins JV team will get back to work next Tuesday with a road game at Britton-Deerfield.  The TCC contest will start at 5:30 with the varsity game to follow at 7:00PM.
