There were many opportunities for the JV boys basketball team to take control of a closely contested ball game against Jefferson Tuesday evening.  However, the ball would just not find it's way through the basket for the Redskins in the non-league contest.  Jefferson would win by a final score of 50-35.

After trailing 15-5 after the first quarter, the Redskins would battle back by outscoring the Bears in the second and third quarters, and would close the gap to as a few as four points with possession of the ball on more than one occasion.  Credit to Jefferson though as they would clamp down on the defensive end, and were able to alter some shots with their 6'7 post player in the middle of the lane.  

Leading the way for Clinton was freshman, Grant Stockford, who finished with 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds.  Kyle Wenk would pull down 12 rebounds while adding 5 points in the scoring column. 

The JV team will be back in action at home on Thursday, December 19th for their first TCC league game against Madison.  Game time is set for 5:30PM with the varsity game set to tip at 7:00PM.
