In a much more spirited effort than on opening night, the Redskin's JV boys basketball fell in dramatic fashion to Blissfield on the road.  The first half saw the game go back and forth with Blissfield building a five point half time lead.  They carried that momentum to the second half and scored the first five points to build a ten point lead.  That is when we saw our Redskins begin to play their best basketball of the season, outscoring the Royals by 18 points to build an 8 point lead with four minutes remaining in the game.  That would be the biggest lead of the game for the Redskins.  Blissfield came out of the timeout and knocked down back to back three's to quickly close the gap to two.  Some missed baskets and turnovers at the end of the game allowed Blissfield to go up one point with one minute remaining.  A missed basket, turnovers and having to foul down the stretch allowed Blissfield to win by the final margin of 51-46.  Makai Cruz again led the Redskins with 16 points to go with 3 assists and 5 rebounds.  Tommy Burt added 10 points and 7 rebounds.  Gavin Scott chipped in with 8 points in his first start of the season.  We are going to look for more of the same effort as we saw on this night, and improve on our decision making and play making at the end of the game.
