A third-quarter surge helped the Clinton varsity football team to defeat Dundee 34-20 Friday in LCAA play. 

Following a 13-13 halftime tie, the Clinton offensive line, consisting of Ryan Phillips, Tyler Bowles, Will Felts, Brandon Felts, Luke Knight and Kaden Mozena helped the team notch two-clock-chewing drives that each resulted in touchdowns. 

Dundee answered with an early fourth-quarter score, but the offense again was able to score a key touchdown after a long drive, powered by key runs by Davey Campbell.

George Ames paced the offense with 94 rushing yards and a touchdown. Bradyn Lehman ran for 85 yards on 15 carries and a score, and also hauled in a 44-yard touchdown pass from Derek Tomalak. Campbell ran for 74 yards on 16 carries and a score, while Zak Shadley finished with 48 rushing yards and a score. 

Bowles and Brandon Felts, and Tommy Burt each added quarterback sacks for the Clinton Defense. 

Clinton will host Onsted for homecoming Friday at Wegner Field.
