Clinton Varsity Redwolves trailed by as many as seven, but came back to top Blissfield on Friday, 11-9.

Clinton scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Calen Keith hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Jayden German singled, scoring two runs, Cliff Jones was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jaxon Phillip singled, scoring one run, and Andy Fair drew a walk, scoring one run.

The Redwolves captured the lead, 11-9, in the top of the eighth after Jalen Stelzer homered to right field, and Dacari Garrison hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.

Quinn Walden earned the win for Clinton. The right-handed pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. German pitched three and one-third innings in relief for the Redwolves. 

Clinton accumulated 10 hits in the game. Walden, Fair, and Stelzer each collected two hits. Keith and German each drove in two runs. 

Game 2 was suspended due to darkness after 3 innings with Clinton leading 7-3. The game will be resumed April 25th.
