Clinton Varsity Volleyball traveled to Concord for the 8 team tournament where they battled into the semi-finals against Madison.  Clinton lost close games to the Trojans and finished 3rd. 

Clinton played tough throughout the day with each player hitting goals and better better on the court.  They beat Burr Oak (25-7, 25-14), Split with Olivet (17-25, 25-6), and lost to Concord (29-31, 21-25)  in pool play.  In quarter finals Clinton beat Jonesville in three games (25-20, 19-25, 15-10) then lost 2 close games to Madison 20-25, 22-25).

Stat leaders on the day were: Kaylee Kranz with 45 kills, 23 serving points, 27 digs, and 26 good serve receive passes. Josilyne Schanz had 21 kills, 40 serving points while Nalani Schanz had 5 kills, 100 assists, 26 serving points, and 20 digs while Sophia Sheneman had 32 digs, 7 points, and 26 good serve receive passes.  Noelle Riley had 11 kills and 8 blocks with 22 serving points. Lauren Sheneman had 19 kills while Mackenzie Brandvold had 14 kills, 17 points, 25 digs, 37 good serve receive passes.  Taylor Randolph had 2 kills, 16 digs, and 31 good serve receive passes while Madalyn Freitas had 25 digs and 23 good serve receive passes. Brynn Frederick had 4 digs and 4 good serve receive passes on the day. Coach Loftis stated, "The team really worked hard today on minimizing errors and that was seen throughout the day, we will keep working to build on our communication on the court." Team serving was 95% which is showing as a strength now as well as building our team hitting percent.  We have things to work on and are ready for our busy week!  

Varsity has a double header against Onsted starting at 6 pm in Onsted, last home game Thursday with JV starting at 5:30 pm and Senior Night happening. Then traveling to Adrian High School for the annual County Tournament starting at 9 am. Clinton is 10-8-2 on the year.
