Clinton hosted their open weekend volleyball tournament on Saturday.  Among those teams that participated some big power house teams came out. St. Mary's Catholic Central ended up taking the trophy home beating FGR in two games. 

Clinton has made Team 45 and is looking to compete in every game they play this year.  Today was a great opening weekend with games against Father Gabriel Richard, Homer, and Canton. Clinton went 1-2 (3-5 games) on the day.

Clinton had some great plays today and were able to close on three games and come close in other games but improvement will be done in practice for communication and defense this week.  Leading Clinton on the week were: Senior Megyn Artnz with 17 kills, 6 blocks while Samantha Renaldi had 11 kills, 2 blocks, and 11 points.  Junior setter Karlee Szczesniak had 46 assists, 6 aces, 15 points.  Lily Thompson had 10 kills, 5 aces, 29 serve receive passes, 14 points.  Lena Korte had 11 kills with 3 blocks, Tess Woerner had 8 kills, 7 points, and 15 serve receive passes and 9 digs.  Libbi Fair had 25 digs, 36 serve receive passes, 17 points. Ashlyn Schmidt contribute with 15 serve receive passes, 3 aces, 9 points, with 9 digs. 

Clinton will head to Vandercook Lake on Tuesday for their tri-match against Northwest and Vandercook Lake.  Games start at 5 pm at Vandercook Lake High School.
