Clinton Varsity hosted Morenci tonight for their double header TCC match up.  Clinton swept the Bulldogs in both matches.  First scores were 25-17 , 25-9 , 25-10 . While after a short break the Redskins came out strong again and beat Morenci 25-9 , 25-11 , 25-23 .  Clinton had strong team stats all around with 91.5%, 28 aces, and 64 kills. 

Clinton came out with strong offense and defense led by both setters.  Ali Elwart had 30 assists, 27 points, 6 aces, and 13 digs.  While Karlee Szczesniak had 25 assists, 12 points, and 7 digs.  Leading the offense with kills was Megyn Artnz with 14 kills and 3 blocks.  Brianna Burton, Saydie Starnes, and Tess Woerner each had 10 kills.  Brianna also had 1 block and 6 great digs with quick transition off the net.  Saydie had 5 digs, 9 aces, and 16 points while Tess had 14 points, 5 digs, 1 block.  Lindsey Burton had 7 kills and 5 blocks while Samantha Renaldi showed control of the net with 8 kills, 3 digs, and 2 blocks.  Our defense was great tonight getting touches on most balls hit there way.  Breece Phillips had 16 digs, 9 serve receive passes. Rilee Szczesniak had 22 digs, 12 serve receive passes, and 12 points.  Payton Blaze, libero had 29 digs, 24 serve receive passes, 8 aces, and 23 points.  Payton also had the honor of being voted last Saturday as All County Tournament team in Adrian.  This is an award given to 12 of the County's top players at the tournament and voted on by all coaches.  

Clinton will play at the LCS Cougar cup on Saturday with their first game at 9 am against LCS.  Come watch and support the girls.  The Redskins last home game will be next Tuesday, October 23rd against TCC rival Whitmore Lake.  JV starts at 5 pm while Varsity will immediately following Senior recognition as well as parents and families.  Clinton is 18-20-3 on the season
