The Clinton Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Aggie country tonight and swept the Aggies in three sets.  Scores tonight were 25-18, 25-20, 25-14.  "Effort was strong tonight and the team wouldn't let the ball die on most plays and that was the difference in keeping the ball on our side and getting points!" Coach Loftis stated.

The overall team serving percent was 95.8% while their team hitting percent was .222   Leading the team in scoring with 29 points, 7 digs, and 100% serving, along with 28 assists was Ali Elwart.  Leading the team with 8 blocks was Megyn Artnz, Megyn also contributed 10 kills. Saydie Starnes had another strong performance with 10 kills and 2 blocks.  Our defense was strong and quick footed.  Leading the passing was Breece Phillips who had 14 digs and 7 serve receive, Payton Blaze had 11 digs, 10 serving points, and 13 serve receive passes, Rilee Szczesniak had 10 digs, 4 serving points, and 10 serve receive passes.  Rounding out the team effort was Karlee Szczesniak with 7 assists, 4 digs, and 5 points.  Sam Renadi had 3 kills and 3 digs while Brianna Burton had 9 great kills, Tess Woerner had 3 kills and 2 digs. Clinton improves to 15-17-3 and 4-7 in the TCC.

       Clinton travels to Adrian High School this Saturday, October 13th, 2018 for their annual county tournament where they will start play at 9am again Hudson. Following that match is Madison, and then Morenci for pool play.  Come out and support these amazing group of Ladies as they say #itstime
