Clinton Varsity Volleyball traveled to Britton-Deerfield tonight to take on their TCC match-up in a double header.  Clinton came out loose and strong tonight in their double header and played as a complete team from start to finish!  Scores of the games were: First match 25-12, 25-17, 25-4 and the following match scores were 25-20, 25-20, and then 25-9.

Coach Loftis stated, "We really came together and believed in everything we have been working for this year.  Working to talk and play through a missed play or a bad call and overcome it together."  She also mentioned that the girls made goals and kept with them.  

Team highs were .384 which is a great hitting percent for any team.  We also hit above our team serving goal while getting to 95%.   Tonight had many top numbers and percentages for the team and season highs for many girls as well!  Leading the team in serving points was Rilee Szczesniak with 35 points including 13 aces while she also had 23 digs and 15 serve receive passes.  Payton Blaze had 35 digs and 45 serve receive passes with 5 aces. Breece Phillips had 12 digs 13 serve receive passes. Ali Elwart had 44 setting assists, 19 points, and 14 digs while Karlee Szczesniak had 26 assists, 4 aces, and 19 points.  Clinton hitter step up huge and had their best hitting night of the season. Leading in hitting percentage tonight was Lindsey Burton with 8 kills and .727% while Saydie Starnes led the team in kills with 27 with a .615 hitting percent. Megyn Artnz had 20 kills and 5 blocks on the night while Brianna Burton had 19 kills with a .351 hitting percent. Tess Woerner had 4 kills and Sam Renaldi had a good night with 4 kills, 4 digs, and 4 aces against BD.

Coach stated, "Watching the girls cheer on the bench, on the court, in the huddle, and during timeouts is what it is all about.  Bring the energy and keep it positive!"  We know our fans will get louder for us as the season continues.  Clinton Volleyball travels to Concord on Saturday for their tournament with pool play starting about 9 am for the Ladies. Clinton goes into Concord with a 11-15-3 record and 3-6 in the TCC.
