Clinton beat Blissfield 4-2 in the district semi finals. Six minutes in to the game Veronica Batlett found Aubrey Lauer to score the first goal of the game. 3 minutes later Lauer stole the ball from defense and scored making it 2-0. Blissfield scored their first goal with 2 minutes left in the half. Blissfield scored again with 28 minutes left in the half to tie up the game. Schaffner played Lauer a long ball on the ground, she dribbled and scored with 4 minutes left. Reiser found Lauer a minute later making the game 4-2. Whiting had 10 saves. Outstanding defense by Elkins, Frederick, Albashir, Whitehead, and Trubiano. Bowles. Schaffner, Reiser, Ureche and Trubiano kept the ball on the attack. Clinton plays again in district finals at Manchester at 5:00 against Manchester.
