Clinton beat Onsted 3-2 in a hard fought battle to the last second. Clinton scored the first goal of the night 6 minutes into the game. Robenson Schaffner put the ball in the air and Gavin Scott took the shot and scored. Onsted scored 19 minutes into the half and again with 12 minutes left of the half. Eight minutes into the second half Gavin Scott put the ball in the air, Parker Baughey made the through pass to assist Garret Handy who scored the goal tying up the game. Robenson Schaffner scored the winning goal of the night with and assist from Gavin Scott with 7 minutes and 53 seconds left in the game. Team work was exactly how that game was won. Brandon Mannlein had 6 saves. Josh Schaffner, Nate Chavez, Weston Fortney and Bryce Wyman did an excellent job on defense while Garret Handy, Max Hampel, Sylas Montgomery, Parker Baughey and Mikey Montgomery worked the middle. Clinton plays Wednesday at home at 5:30 against Columbia Central. This will be parent night.
