The Boys Golf season came to an end yesterday at the MHSAA Regionals, at Hawk Hallow GC, in Lansing, MI. The 19 team field was formidable and the 92 golfers did their best on a tough golf course. The Redwolves finished 13/19 teams on the day, shooting a team score of 416.  Leading the way was Jacob Rothman 84, T14/92; Ethan Younts 104, T52/92; Nate Arntz 112, T70/92; Kent McCombs 116, T72/92 and George Ames 128, 84/92. "Man what a very successful season for our 'young' team and how much they learned and grew in the game of golf this year. Having four new golfers this year, trying golf for the 1st time in their HS careers was an awesome experience to watch them continue to get better and have fun this year. As, this season comes to an end I want to thank 3 of those 4 young student/athletes, Jonathan Baughey headed to Toledo University, Kent McCombs will be going to West Point and George Ames going to be a Briton at Albion College. Thanks to these three and their efforts this season, they were greatly appreciated and welcome. We will have three returning Varsity golfers next year in Nate Arntz, Jacob Rothman and Ethan Younts. We will be relying heavily on these three to continue the charge of competing for an LCAA Championship and making a run in the MHSAA state tournament. Want to also thank our JV team and all they worked on to improve their skills this season. Our Assistant Coach Jack Hepler who is a steady and calming voice for our whole golf team. Finally, Rustic Glen GC and their willingness to support our golf teams here at Clinton. They are instrumental in our successes and growth in the game.
