The Clinton Redwolves battled hard throughout the game, but a hot start by the Hudson Tigers in the first quarter and some timely scoring by the Tigers in the final minutes helped them hold off a spirited comeback effort from Clinton, securing an 82-75 victory on Friday night.

Hudson came out of the gate with impressive intensity. Led by their fast-paced offense and sharp shooting, the Tigers took an early lead and dominated the opening quarter, outscoring Clinton 25-13. The Redwolves struggled to find a rhythm against the aggressive Hudson defense, but the Tigers' offense was firing on all cylinders.

However, Clinton wasn’t about to go down without a fight. Senior forward Jalen Stelzer was instrumental in the Redwolves' second-quarter comeback. His leadership and scoring ignited a spark for Clinton, as they slowly chipped away at the deficit. With Stelzer's offensive contributions, the Redwolves tightened the score to 36-29 by halftime, staying within reach of the Tigers.

In the third quarter, the Redwolves came out with renewed energy. Juniors Quinn Walden and Devon Trent, Senior Calen Keith, and Sophomore's Louie Della-Badia and Ronan Stelzer, all contributed crucial plays that helped Clinton mount a solid push. The Redwolves' defense stepped up, and their offense began to flow more efficiently. Despite their best efforts, they still found themselves trailing 62-51 at the end of the third quarter.

As the game entered the final frame, Clinton's chances looked slim, but they weren’t going down without one last fight. The Redwolves mounted a furious surge, with Stelzer, Walden, and Keith leading the charge. Despite the strong push, the Tigers' proved to be too much to overcome. Hudson's timely shots down the stretch ensured that they would hang on to the lead and win 82-75.

Clinton will look to bounce back when they take on the undefeated Onsted team next Tuesday, January 14th.
