The Clinton Redwolves battled hard but came up short in a 58-63 loss to the Hillsdale Hornets on Friday night. The game got off to a slow start for Clinton, as they found themselves down 13-12 at the end of a tightly contested first quarter. Despite some early scoring from Eli Turner, who put up six points, Clinton struggled to find a rhythm offensively. Louie Della Badia’s two early three-pointers kept the Redwolves close, but Hillsdale’s defense kept the game tight throughout the opening frame.

Clinton couldn’t carry their first-quarter energy into the second, and by halftime, they found themselves trailing 28-22. A tough shooting stretch and turnovers limited their scoring opportunities, while Hillsdale began to build momentum. However, the Redwolves fought back in the second half, with Quinn Walden and Devon Trent leading the charge in the fourth quarter. Walden scored 8 points, and Trent hit two crucial three-pointers, helping Clinton outscore Hillsdale 24-19 in the final period. Despite their strong efforts, the Redwolves fell just short as the Hornets.  The Redwolves are back in action Tuesday, December, 10 @ Madison.
