In a highly anticipated game on Tuesday night, the visiting Tecumseh Indians narrowly defeated the Clinton Redwolves 54-48 in a thrilling, hard-fought contest that lived up to the pre-game hype. Clinton's junior forward Eli Turner set the tone early, scoring 8 points in the first quarter to help the Redwolves jump out to an early lead. Turner’s quick start gave Clinton an early spark, and the Redwolves carried that energy into the second quarter, while holding on to a 28-26 halftime lead.
However, the Indians came out strong in the third quarter, using an aggressive defensive strategy and timely scoring to take control of the game. Tecumseh outscored Clinton 18-11 in the period, taking a 44-39 lead into the final frame. The momentum shift proved pivotal, as the Indians maintained their edge through the fourth quarter to secure the win. Despite a final surge by the Redwolves, which narrowed the lead to 3 points with under 2 minutes in play, Clinton could not make it over the hump. Senior, Jalen Stelzer, played a pivotal role on the offensive end by contributing 18 points, 7 in the final quarter, for the Redwolves. Chase Gillman, Devon Trent, Calen Keith, and Louie Della-Badia all found themselves in the score sheet at the end of the night. The Redwolves look to bounce back this upcoming Friday, December 5th vs. Hillsdale at home.
