The Redskins hit the road last night to take on the Morenci Bulldogs in a TCC showdown. The visiting team came away with a 49-40 win to even their record at 2-2 (1-1 TCC).

"We got off to a very slow start as we were down 15-4 after the first quarter. I challenged the guys to step up their focus on the defensive end and to take care of the ball better, and they rose to the challenge. I'm proud of the way the guys fought back and regained their composure," Coach Jordan Kelly said. "We showed tonight that we can shoot the ball at a high percentage, (18-36 FG, 8-13 3pt)  but we have to get shots. We had 24 turnovers tonight, many unforced. We've got to get better in that sense."

Leading the way for the Redskins was Mitchell Drabicki with 12 points off the bench. Robbie Campbell had 11 points, 5 rebound, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Collin Stapnowski played well adding 10 points and 3 assists. Justin Felts had 7 points and 7 rebounds, while Clark Nelson tacked on 7 rebounds.

"This was a good win to get some momentum heading into break. We'll get some good work in over break to prepare for the schedule ahead." Kelly stated.

Clinton returns to action on January 4th, 2018, when they head to Adrian High School to take on the Maples.
