Twelve Redwolves Track and Field athletes traveled to Kent City High School for the state championships with Mason Brodie earning all-state in the shot put and with new school records set by Samantha Coots-Adams in the 800m and by Allison Bowles in the 3200m.

Brodie earned all-state honors by finishing 5th in the shot put with a new personal best distance of 53'-4.25". Brodie earned all-state honors for the second consecutive year and for the first time in the shot put. Also competing for the guys were sophomores Brenden Benschoter who finished 14th in the long jump and Eli Turner who finished 15th in the high jump.

Coots-Adams, while finishing 11th in the race, broke a 42-year school record in the 800m by running a time of 2:24.02, beating the previous best set by Jackie McDonald in 1982. Bowles, who also finished 11th, smashed her own record in the 3200m by running a time of 11:45.59. Also competing for the girls on Saturday were the 4x800m relay team of Emerald Sierer, Cylee Elkins, Bowles, and Coots-Adams who finished 18th, Summer Chandler (27th) and Bella Bannon in the high jump, the 4x100 relay team of Chandler, Katelyn Baker, Madi McGraw, and Ashlynn Phillips who ran a season best time of 52.88 while finishing 29th.
