The Clinton Redwolves continued their strong 2026 season Tuesday night, sweeping Hudson 3-0 by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-9. The victory was especially meaningful for Clinton head coach Kia Rainey, who earned the 100th win of her coaching career. With the win, the Redwolves improve to 23-5-1 on the season and continue to build momentum heading into the second half of the regular season. Clinton was in control throughout the match, combining an efficient offense with strong serving and relentless defense. The Redwolves finished with 40 kills on 97 attempts, hitting .278 as a team Bella Bannon led Clinton with 9 kills and hit .500, Abby Sheneman contributed 7 kills while hitting .462, and Joslyn Kranz added 5 kills on 10 attempts, hitting .400. The Redwolves’ setting combination of Addison Loftis and Avery Loftis kept the offense moving throughout the match. Addison finished with a team-high 18 assists, while Avery added 17 assists, as Clinton recorded 37 assists overall. They both had 5 kills each while hitting .260 on the night. Defensively, the Redwolves were extremely active, collecting 70 digs with 6 players in double digit digs while holding Hudson to just 37 points over three sets. Addison Loftis and Rylee Pepper led Clinton with 13 digs each, while Avery Loftis finished with 12. Emily Farmer collected 11 digs with Calli Kruger and Lila Kennedy contributing 10 digs apiece. The service line was another major strength. Clinton recorded 6 aces and served at an impressive 97.33%, committing only two service errors. Avery Loftis had 27 service points. Serve receive another Clinton Volleyball focus was also solid last night with a team 2.4 rating on 34 attempts. The Redwolves also controlled the net, finishing with 3 solo blocks and 15 block assists on the way to the 3-0 LCAA victory. A Milestone Night for Coach Rainey While the sweep was another important win for the Redwolves, the night belonged to Coach Kia Rainey, who reached a major career milestone with her 100th victory. For Clinton, the victory was more than another mark in the win column. It was a milestone night for the program and its head coach, while the Redwolves continued their push toward the postseason with their record now standing at 23-5-1. Clinton goes on the road again Saturday, October 3rd at the D3/D4 Showdown in Livonia- Schoolcraft starting competition at 8:30 am.
