The Clinton JV Redwolves played again on September 15, with a convincing home-court victory over the Onsted Wildcats. Clinton dominated from the opening serve and never looked back, sweeping Onsted in two straight sets, 25-16 and 25-15. The Redwolves established control early in both sets, using strong serving, aggressive attacking, and solid defensive play to build leads and keep the Wildcats from finding a rhythm. Clinton maintained its intensity throughout the match, closing out both sets comfortably. Makena Peters led the Redwolves from the service line and in the back row, recording 16 points, including an impressive seven aces, while adding 12 digs. Kylie Hicks also had a strong night serving and setting, finishing with 12 points and four aces while distributing 17 assists to her teammates. Clinton's offense was paced by Brooklynn Kranz and DeLane McKinnon, who each recorded eight kills. Kranz also contributed eight digs. Karsyn Nicholson added seven kills and five digs to the Redwolves' balanced offensive attack. Defensively, the Redwolves continued to make plays all over the court. In addition to Peters, Kranz, and Nicholson, Ella Wollett and Paisley Kurowcki each added three digs. With the two-set victory, the Redwolves demonstrated another strong all-around performance and continued to build momentum. Clinton will return to action Thursday, September 17, when the Redwolves travel to Tecumseh for a quad match.
