Clinton JV takes on the Royals

Clinton’s JV football team started league play with a contest against Blissfield on Wednesday where they were able to roll to a victory. Brady Ahlers got the scoring started on a short touchdown run, and Aiden Hall added the 2 point conversion to make it 8 to 0. After the first of Clinton’s defensive 3 and outs, Brayden Lauer was able to score on a long run from 37 yards out making it 14 to 0. Lauer scored on the next drive as well this time from 12 yards out bringing the score to 20 to 0. Justice Arnett was able to join the scoring with a 43 yard run and David Winters scampered in on the 2 point conversion. Henry Vershum also was able to get in on the action and had a short touchdown run and Lauer added the 2 point conversion. This is where the scoring would end and Clinton would be victorious 36 to 0. The Redwolves defense put together quite a performance, not giving up a first down the entirety of the contest. Great play from the offensive and defensive lines was crucial to the success of the Redwolves. They are back in action at home against Dundee on September 14th at 6 pm.
