The Clinton JV football team opened the season on the road at Olivet this Thursday and displayed a dominant performance. They were able to get things started quickly on their first drive with a 12 yards scamper by Grant Talaga and a 2 point conversion by Brady Ahlers making the score 8 to 0. After forcing a punt, Clinton’s Brady Ahlers would score on a 54 yards run, and Henry Vershum would convert the 2 point bringing the score to 16 to 0. After back to back pass break ups by Vershum, and another great drive ending in a 1 yard touchdown run by Brayden Lauer the score would come to 22 to 0. On the next Clinton offensive drive, some great passing by Gannon Pearce would lead the Redwolves down the field, and the drive would be capped off by a 1 yard touchdown run by Noah Jenkins to make the score 28 to 0. After forcing a three and out on the first drive of the second half, the Redwolves would score quickly on a 34 yard run by Talaga, and a two point conversion on a throw from Jenkins to Cayden Cook, the Redwolves would take a commanding 36 to 0 lead. After a strip fumble from Jenkins and a couple of hard nose runs by the Redwolves, Aiden Hall would get into the end zone bringing the score to 42 to 0. Clinton would score once more on a 60 yard run by Hall and a 2 point conversion from Justice Arnett making the score 50 to 0. That is where the scoring would end as the Clinton JV football team would leave Olivet with a stellar opening game performance. The JV Redwolves will be back in action next Wednesday at Wegner Field at 6 pm as the Blissfield Royals come to town.
