Clinton Redwolves Volleyball traveled 3 hours north on Friday, August 21st to play a tough day of competition and 5 matches at Kirtland CC- Roscommon opening weekend event! The Clinton Redwolves team went 3-2 on the day. Losing close matches to D2 ranked teams: Tecumseh 25-17, 17-25, and 12-15 and Kingsley 20-25 and 22-25. Clinton had big wins against: D1 -H.H. Dow 25-22 and 26-24, D1 Petoskey 25-14 and 25-15, and D3 ranked Roscommon 25-22 and 25-16. It was a great event to get to travel up north as a team, see tough competition, and competed right away. It was a great opening day for the redwolves who are returning the majority of their players from last year's season! Senior returners: Avery Loftis- setter, Bella Bannon-Middle Blocker, Calli Kruger- defensive specialist, and Makenna Gore- hitter. Junior returners: Rylee Pepper- outside hitter, Abby Sheneman- Middle Blocker, Lila Kennedy- defensive specialist, as well as new Juniors to the team Joslyn Kranz-hitter and Emily Farmer- defensive specialist. Returning Sophomore Addison Loftis- setter and new sophomore Zoey Riddle- defensive specialist. The team played well and continued to build connection and tempo throughout the day. Clinton showed some great comebacks and finishes on Friday and Kirtland college. It was great to see individual and team progression throughout the day.
