Clinton Defeats Madison 49-27

Clinton traveled to Madison to start LCAA action and came away with a 49-27 to even their record at 1-1 on the year. Clinton ran for 279 yards on the ground and threw for 108 more yards for 387 yards of offense on the night. Clifford Jones had 16 carries for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Gradyn Whelan had 9 carries for 63 yards and a rushing touchdown. Whelan was also 4 for 6 threw the air for 108 yards and 1 touchdown. Braxton Randolph had 9 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown. Isaac Keibler had 7 carries for 22 yards and a touchdown. Jake Halchishak had 9 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. Cory Hoover had three carries for 4 yards, Devin Trent had one carry for 4 yards, and Bronson Whelan had a carry for 2 yards. Darcari Garrison had one reception for a 51 yard touchdown. Cliff Jones had one reception for 13 yards. Devon Trent had one reception for 14 yards and Jaren Settles in his first game back had one reception for 30 yards. Leaders on defense were Braxton Randolph with 5 tackles and a sack. Cliff Jones with 4 tackles and a pass deflection. Gradyn Whelan had 3 tackles, a quarterback knockdown, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Landon Lakatos had two tackles and one sack. Owen Wright had two tackles, Devon Trent had a tackle and two defended passes. Darcari Garrison had a tackle and an interception. Jaren Settles had three tackles. Isaac Keibler had 4 tackles. Jake Halchishak had two tackles. Jaxon Phillip had three tackles. Bronson Whelan and Royce Martinez each had one tackle a piece. The offensive line played well up front to open holes for our back tonight. The offensive line consisted of John Keibler, Owen Wright, Wyatt Welch, Jacob Pope, Donnie Kline, Joe Webb, Jonah Hahn, and Jaren Settles. Clinton will host Blissfield on Friday, Sept. 12th at 7pm.
