Sand Creek Dual Tournament

Sand Creek Duals

    The Clinton Middle School Wrestling Team continued its winning ways in dominating fashion at the Sand Creek Duals on Saturday improving their record to (10-0) in duals so far this season.  

    The opening dual of the day was versus the Perennial State Power Hudson Tigers and the Upstart Redskins were up to the task taking out the Tigers 93-16 and winning 16 of the 19 matches in the dual.  In the second Dual of the Day the Redskins took on the Reading Rangers and tallied up a score of 81-19, they boys and girls went (15-4) head to head in the dual.  Next on the docket was the Adrian Maples where the Redskins continued their winning ways beating the Maples 99-12 going (17-2).  In the 4th Dual of the Tournament the Redskins took on our neighbor to the South the Tecumseh Indians and racked up a score of 93-18 going (16-3) in the dual.  In the final bout of the day the Team took on the host Sand Creek Aggies and finished off the Tournament in dominating fashion beating the Home Team 99-6.  They were (18-1) head to head in the dual.

   The Redskins getting (5) wins on the day were:  Nathan Arntz(5-0), Braylon Long (5-0), Ethan Younts (5-0), Xavier Gibbs (5-0), Max Stitt (5-0) and Nate Smith (5-0).

  Earning (4) wins for the Redskins were: Connor Younts (4-0), Coy Perry (4-0), Connor Busz (4-0), Maurice Ames (4-0), Joey Preston (4-0), Nik Shadley (4-0), Zak Shadley (4-0), Brian Baker (4-0) and Brandon Felts (4-0).

  Earning (3) wins were Logan Roberts (3-0) and Faith Blackburn (3-0).

  The Redskins who won (2) matches were Braydon McIntyre (2-0), Dylan Badge (2-0), Blake Sloan (2-1), LeAnn Mercier (2-0), Rourke Solomonson (2-2), Wyatt Hicks (2-2) and Jake Felts (2-3) and Bryce Rosacrans (2-1).

   Also receiving wins for the Redskins were Cade Brighton (1-0), Hamza Rafferty (1-1) and Gage Blasckburn.  

  Overall on the day the Redskins were 93-14 with 62 of the 94 wins ending in a fall a (.659) clip.  

    This week the Team will travel to Blissfield on Tuesday January 29 in a TCC/LCAA Jamboree.  Thursdays Duals at Whitmore Lake have been canceled.
