The Clinton varsity football team used a solid defensive effort to notch a 28-0 conference win over Morenci Friday night. Dylan Settles paced the offense with nine carries 9 carries for 94 yards and two scores on the ground, and five completions for 81 yards and a touchdown through the air. Collin Stapnowski was on the receiving end of a 13 yard pass from Settles to open the scoring, and Brayden Randolph added the final touchdown on a 10 yard run late in the game.

Cecil Rafferty paced the Redskin defense with eight tackles, including three for loss, and a forced fumble. Randolph led the team with 10 total tackles, including two for loss, and a fumble recovery. Clay Langer finished with four tackles and an interception.

Gabe Gibbs, Will Felts, Tyler Bowles, and Cooper Renaldi helped the Redskin rushing attack notch 251 yards on 42 carries. Randolph added 45 yards on the ground, while Noah Comar rushed for 35 and hauled in 3 passes for 46 yards.

The Redskins (3-1, 2-0) will travel to Sand Creek Friday for a key Tri-County-Conference match-up.
