The CMS Girls’ team had a great showing against Summerfield, winning 87- 44 . Duford placed 1st in pole vault. Frederick placed 2nd (4’2’’) in high jump, while Welch (with a PR) and Chandler tied for 3rd with a jump height of 3’10’’. In long jump, VanZandt and Brandvold placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Brodie (25’7.5’’) placed 2nd and K. Bowles (24’9’’) placed 3rd in shot put. E. Shankland finished 2nd in the 3200m run, while McNatt and P. Shankland placed 1st and 2nd in the 1600m run. Coots won the 800m run, with Vincent coming in 3rd. Struck took the win for the 800m run. Ureche and Gregg placed 2nd and 3rd in the 200m dash.. Clinton placed twice in the 100m and the 70m dash. Phillip and Brodie represented the team in the 100m and VanZandt and Coots for the 70m. Brandvold took 1st in the 200m Hurdles and Clinton swept the 55 hurdles with McNatt, Brandvold and Ureche placing 1st-3rd. The girls relay teams had a great showing sweeping 4 out of 4 of the relays. Way to go, girls!

The CMS Boys’ team lost a close one to Summerfield last night, 63 - 74. George Ames, Kent McCombs, Sam Hoffman swept the pole vault. Nate Smith took 3rd in the high jump. Zak Shadley won the long jump with a jump of 16’10”, Dylan Bowles took third in long jump. Garrett Beazley (33’6”), Logan Badge and Matt Johnson swept the shot put. Eric Neff took 2nd in the 3200M run. Caden Zbikowski took 3rd in the 1600M run. Fabian Ramirez took 3rd in the 800M run. Caden Zbikowski took 3rd in the 400M dash. Zak Shadley took 2nd in the 200M dash in the race of the night with Logan DeVitto took 3rd. Brennan Schaidt and Logan DeVitto took 2nd and 3rd in the 100M dash. George Ames won the 70M dash (9.3) with Dylan Bowles taking 3rd. Devon Curry and Carter Keith took 2nd and 3rd in the 200M hurdles. Devon Curry and Kaleb Pfaffinger took 2nd and 3rd in the 55M hurdles. The boys ran well against a tough Summerfield group.
