The Clinton men and women traveled to Onsted on Tuesday, June 2nd for the annual Lenawee County Championship Invitational. There were some outstanding performances on the men’s side, here are the highlights and All-County performances for the men:

• 100m: Grant Stockford - 4th

• 800m: Matt Urbanczyk - 5th (PR)

• 3200m: Gabe Nelson - 3rd

• 4x800 Relay: Hampel, Urbanczyk, King, and Doty - 4th

• Shot Put: Matt Johnson - 3rd (PR)

• High Jump: Grant Stockford - 6th

The Clinton women continued their postseason by posting several impressive performances at the County Meet. Lena Korte was the only champion on the day as she ruled the discus ring and added a runner-up finish in the shot put. Bri Underwood also claimed runner-up honors with her long jump leap of 16 feet, 7 inches. Underwood sprinted to another silver medal in the 100 meter dash. Underwood teamed up with Mia Struck, Brynn Frederick, and Griffin Faulkner to take third place in the 4x100 relay, running a season best time of 53.56. Alissa King wrapped up the day for Clinton by placing second place in the 3200 meter run.

The Clinton Track & Field state qualifiers will travel to Jenison Field (Grand Rapids) for the state meet on Saturday, GOOD LUCK to the following:
