Track Competes at the Onsted Booster Invite
Shadley and Stockford - 100m

The Clinton men and women  traveled to Onsted on Friday, May 7th for the Booster Invitational and both teams did an excellent job competing, rising to the occasion, and supporting each other! The men’s team finished fourth behind Adrian Madison, Hillsdale Academy, and Coldwater with a margin of only 20 points separating CHSTF from first place. Clinton rolled through the field events collecting 2nd place in the high jump (Stockford,) 3rd place in long jump (Shadley,) and 5th and 6th place in shot put (Bowles and Johnson.) The men’s 4x100 relay of Shadley, Stockford, Scott, and Zbikowski captured first place as the same crew would later capture medals in the 100, 200, and 400 as well. The distance team of King, Nelson, and Neff also found themselves earning hardware in the 1600 and 3200.

Men’s Team Meet Awards:

  • Most Valuable: Grant Stockford for his performance in high jump, 100m, 200m, and the 4x100 relay.

  • Spirit of the Meet: Gabe Nelson for his performance in the distance races as well as his support of his peers! 

The Clinton women fought their way to a third place finish on Friday at the competitive Onsted Booster Invite. In the field events, Lena Korte once again took the gold medal. Mykell Brodie added some valuable points with a fourth place finish. Bri Underwood won the long jump to put Clinton in great position as the action moved to the track. 

Clinton flexed its muscles in the short sprints as Underwood and Griffin Faulkner raced to a 2-4 finish in the 100 meter dash. They would team up with Cassie McNatt and Brynn Frederick on the 4x100 relay and claim the invitational crown. Alissa King (3200) and McNatt (300 hurdles) finished up the scoring for Clinton by earning fourth place finishes. 

Clinton travels to Onsted on Wednesday to close out LCAA play and compete against both Onsted and Columbia Central, we also host our final home event of the year on Friday for the Duane Pelz Invitational
