On April 26th the men and women of the Clinton Track & Field teams traveled to Sand Creek for the annual Hinsdale Invitational. Being very competitive across the board, the women placed 4th with 61 points while the men finished in 3rd with 74 points. Outstanding performances for the women included Lindsey Burton taking first in the women's long jump at 14' 7.5", Alissa King scoring in both the 3200 and 1600m runs, and the day was ultimately defined by the women's speed relays of Paige Studnicka, Lindsey Burton, Tessia Struck, Lena Korte, and Bri Underwood taking first in the 4x400 relay, the 4x100 relay, and second in the 4x200 relays.

The men won both the long jump (Clay Langer) and discus (Steven Posa) for the field events as well as scoring three places in shot put behind Brodie, Johnson, and Bowles, as well as in the high jump with Cooper Renaldi. On the track the men scored in multiple speed events with Noah Deshano, Trevor Underwood, Clay Langer, Alex Wylie, and Colton Freeman winning the 4x200 relay by a large margin and scoring in the 4x100 relay as well as all individual sprint races. Rounding off the performances for the men was Gabe Nelson taking fourth in the 3200m run.

It was an exceptional meet and the team now prepares for a league dual at Morenci on Tuesday, May 30th and at Onsted on May 3rd.
