The Clinton 7th grade volleyball team suffered their second loss of the season to Hudson on Monday. The Redwolves captured the first set in a see-saw battle as Clinton pulled away late in the game and won by 4. The second set was identical to the first but Hudson was able captured the second set by 2 points. Clinton had a hard time with Hudson’s big serves and the Rewolves dropped the third set 6-25.
Team Highlights
Kylinn Long led the Redwolves with 8 service points, 4 aces 3 Digs and 2 Kills
Avery Loftis had 6 service points with 5 aces and 1 kill.
Abi Martinez had 5 points 1 assist and 1 dig.
Ashlynn Benschoter had 4 points 1 ace 1 kill and 1 assist.
Abby Ureche had 2 points 1 ace 1 kill
Gabby Cordova had 1 point 1 ace and 1 dig.
Clinton now stands at 5-2 in the LCAA and will host the Blissfield Royals on Wednesday
Annabell Preston and Cora Harsh both were calm under pressure and did an exceptional job at serve reception. Korynn Allen, Annabell Preston, and Megan Hammarburg set up the offense. Korynn is credited with 3 assists, Annabell contributed 2, and Megan had 1 assist. Jackie Whiting had a solid game at the net registering 6 kills on the night. Finnley Faulkner and Megan Hammarberg had 2 kills apiece and Morgan Hill, Brailey Gibson and Gabbi Pearce all connected for 1 kill each. The team currently stands at 3-4 in the LCAA.
