The 8th grade girls volleyball team defeated the Morenci Bulldogs on Monday, September 30 with scores of 25-10, 19-25, and 25-9.  The team continues to improve on their fundamental skills of serving and serve reception.  These improvements allowed them more opportunities to set up their offense and execute numerous kills on the night.  Lead scorer for the Redskins was Stella Starnes with 10 points and 5 aces.  Other scorers on the night were Robin Mull with 9 points (7 aces), Rebeca Ureche with 8 points (4 aces), Kyleigh Ramos with 6 points (2 aces), Sammy Starnes with 4 points (1 ace), Nalani Schanz with 3 points (3 aces) and Mackenzie Huggins and Shay VanZandt each contributed 1 point.  Leading the way in serve reception was Robin Mull and Kendall Philip.  The offense was led by setters Nalani Schanz, Kyleigh Ramos, and Stella Starnes.  Leading attackers were Sammy and Stella Starnes.  They both registered 4 kills a piece.  Rebeca Ureche registered 2 kills.  

The Redskins host the Madison Trojans on Wednesday, October 2 @ 5:30 PM.  The Redskins are now 4-3-2 on the season and 3-2 in the TCC.
