7th Grade Football vs Pittsford

The 7th grade Clinton Redskins football team capped off their season with a hard fought 20-22 defeat vs. the Pittsford Wildcats Wednesday night October 23.  The Redskins got on the board right away, taking a 6-0 lead on an interception for a touchdown by Outside Linebacker Mason Brodie.  The WIldcats then went on to control the first half with the early touchdown being the only points the Redskins could muster in the first half, leading to a 6-16 deficit going into the 2nd half.  

The Redskins showed their true character, digging deep and regaining their prowess with hard nosed defense, and a grind-it-out mentality on offense in the second half.  First, cutting the deficit to 14-16 with a touchdown and two point conversion by Fullback Jake Felts, and then taking advantage of a 4th quarter interception by Cornerback Braylon Long that led to a late game leading drive to put the Redskins up 20-16 with two minutes left in the game.  Unfortunately, The late touchdown was not enough for the Redskins to secure the victory, conceding a touchdown with only six seconds left in the game to suffer their first and only loss of the season to finish with an outstanding 5-1 record.  

Other notable standout Redskins for the game were Andy Fair, Xavier Gibbs, Blake Sloan, Dylan Badge, Carter Williams, Garrett Lamirand, Cade Brighton, Jared Couture, Landen Rochowiak, Josh Funchion, Hamza Rafferty, and Gage Blackburn.
