The 8th Grade football TEAM traveled to Summerfield and notched their second victory of the season 38-0. After recovering an onside kick to start the game, Zak Shadley scored from 22 yards and Brian Baker converted the two-point conversion to make it 8-0. Clintons next score came when Grant Stockford punched it in from 3 yards out. Baker again converted the two-point conversion to take a 16-0 lead. On the next possession Baker found the end zone from 6 yards out. The two-point conversion was no good as the pass from Stockford to Baker was incomplete, making the halftime score 22-0. Bradyn Lehman scored next for the Redskins from 10 yards out and Baker converted the two-point conversion to put Clinton up 30-0. Clintons last score came at the end of the 3rd quarter as Shadley outran the defense from 30 yards out, Baker again converted the two-point conversion making the score 38-0. The Redskins as a TEAM carried the ball 25 times for 311 yards. Shadley led the charge with 7 carries for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns. Baker 8 carries for 60 yards a touchdown and 4 two-point conversions. Lehman 6 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown. Stockford 3 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown and Lucas Richie 1 carry for 2 yards For the second week in a row the defense kept the opponent out of the end zone. The TEAM was led by Bradyn Lehman with 13 tackles followed by Zak Shadley with 12, Brian Baker with 7 and a quarterback sack, Nate Smith with 5 and a quarterback sack, Frederick Wade with 4, Isaac Peck with 2 and a quarterback sack, Grant Stockford with 2 and an interception and Ethan Younts and Jacob Gilson each recorded a tackle. The 8th Grade will return to action on October 3rd when Adrian Madison comes to town.
