Brenden Keith hauled in a 27-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Settles on a 4th and 7 with just 29 seconds left in the game to give host Clinton a dramatic 34-29 win over TCC rival Sand Creek. Both teams entered the contest undefeated on the season, and ranked in the latest Division 7 Associated Press Poll.

The game was in doubt early in the fourth quarter, as Sand Creek scored with seven minutes remaining and added the two-point conversion to take a 28-21 lead. However, Jack Voll scored on a 55-yard run and Jonathan Baughey added the extra point to tie the game at 28-all. The Redskin defense, which had struggled at times throughout the night, came up big on the next possession, with Voll and Davey Campbell combining on a key 4th and 4 stop to give the ball back to the offense. Settles converted on a tough run on 4th and 3 to keep the game-winning drive alive.

Voll led all rushers with 137 yards on the ground on 13 carries, with two scores. Settles ran for 97 yards on seven carries, which included an 80-yard run to open the night’s scoring. Noah DeShano added 74 yards on 13 carries and a score. 

Voll and Campbell led the way defensively with 13 tackles apiece. Brayden Randolph added 11 tackles, and Ridge Ahrens chipped in with 10. 

The Redskins, now 4-0 overall (2-0 TCC) will travel to Summerfield Friday to face off against the 2-2 (1-1 TCC) Bulldogs.
