Clinton wins a thriller of a game on Friday against Ida. Clinton came out sluggish offensively in the first half and went into halftime down 10.  After regrouping at halftime, Clinton came out with a big 3rd quarter nearly matching their total offensive output in the entire first half.  The balance of the game was decided in the final seconds of the 4th though.  With Clinton down 1 in the final 30 seconds of the game, Briggs hits a midrange jumper off of a rebound to put Clinton up 1 point with 20 seconds left.  After a timeout, Ida advances the ball up the floor with 18 seconds on the clock. Ida runs a high screen and roll to try and get the ball to the roller in the paint for an easy two, but Clinton counters by switching and Buie jumps the passing lane for a steal and then is immediately intentionally fouled with 6 seconds left, sending him to the free through line.  Buie sinks both shots putting Clinton up by 3. Clinton takes possession and Burt is again immediately fouled sending him to the free throw and he makes both putting up 56-51, the final score of the game.  Burt had another dominate game continuing his tradition of double double's, scoring a game high 20 and grabbing 12 rebounds. Schaffner scored 10, Briggs 9, Stockford 9, Buie 6, and Scott 2.
